All in Event
Something very unique is on offer for this upcoming weekend. I can't wait! A famous chef from the UK, Ross Gibbens (with a handful of Michelin stars!) is coming to visit. And it won't be just any kind of stopover. He will be the resident chef at a fascinating pop up at a winery called Celler Clos Pons, about one and a half hours drive from Barcelona in the direction of Lleida.
Have you heard about guerrilla dining? When cool chefs cook up magnificent dinners in unexpected places? You can experience this in Barcelona too! Look up Foodie Pop Up Experience and keep an eye out for their upcoming dinners. The location and the chef is secret until a few hours before the event, but you will find out the theme of the dinner on their webpage.
I got the opportunity to try out one of the food tours in the city: Devour Food Tours. I had heard good things about them, and when I was invited to a tour in my neighbourhood Gracia I thought it was a great opportunity to get to know my hoods better:
Get ready for summer this weekend when White Summer Festival sets foot in Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm! This festival is by no means new, it's been taking place the last 5 years in Empordà in Costa Brava. But now for the first time it takes place in Barcelona. Think Palo Alto but a bit more bohemian and more space!
We were invited to Alma Hotel the other night to enjoy their Thursday jazz evening, the Alma Music Dinner. What a pleasant evening it was! I hadn't visited Alma before even though they are very centrally located (on Mallorca, just by Paseo de Gracia), but I had heard about their beautiful terrace.:
