There's a beer revolution going on in Barcelona! Microbreweries are popping up, and therefore also bars serving craft beers. If you're a beer lover you won't be bored in this city.
In addition to the bars there are also events every now and then that bring breweries from around the country and also international ones to the city.
Here are our favorite craft beer bars:
Biercab – 20 rotating taps and good tapas. The patatas bravas are very photogenic. Craft beer paradise. There's also a shop next door.
La Rovira - In Gracia you can find this gem of a bar: old school with great staff and a very homey feeling. 15 taps and a fridge full of bottles. They have food, too.
Carrer de Rabassa 23
Oma Bistró – A few taps with good craft beers, bottles too, and then amazing cake of course. Brunch and (craft) beer can be a winner combo!
Carrer del Consell de Cent 227
Black Lab – They brew their own beer and have great guest taps, and really good American-Asian fusion food.
Palau del Mar, Paça Pau Vila 1
Edge Brewing – This brewery requires you to make a tour if you want to do a tasting, but it’s really worth it and you have the opportunity to have great food too. Check their Facebook page for events info.
Carrer de Llull 62
Garage beer – Also a brewery and a good set of beers. A lot of events and snacks, too.
Carrer del Consell de Cent 261
Homo Sibaris – Somewhat off the beaten path but don’t let that scare you. Here you come for the beer, and they have a lot to choose from.
Plaça d'Osca 4
Kaelderkold – In the middle of the tourist area you find this bar that strangely enough not a lot of tourists visit. Many taps, and good cocktails.
Carrer del Cardenal Casañas 7
Ale & Hop - Many taps and vegetarian food only! I've heard very, very good things about their hamburger.
Carrer de les Basses de Sant Pere 10
Abirradero - 40 taps, say no more. Good craft sodas too, and an interesting gastro pub menu.
Carrer de Vila i Vilà 77
La Cerveteca – A good old place that was there long before this craft beer revolution came and took things over. Great staff and nothing posh.
Carrer d'en Gignàs 25
Beerlinale - Close to the Ramblas but discreet enough not to attract too many tourists. Many taps and the best of all: fantastic food. Rumour has it that the chef has worked with Gordon Ramsay.
Carrer del Carme 7
Ølgod - Kaelderkold's sister establishment in the Raval has many, many taps and vegetarian food to boot. One of my favorite hangouts.
Carrer Hospital 74
