Caravelle is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re abroad (unless you’re a tourist and you already are!), perhaps in Melbourne, Portland or Berlin. There’s that communal table that adds to the hip feeling, the people with their lap tops, and then obviously the food. I mean, home-made sodas. Fun desserts. Really, really spicy Bloody Mary. Craft beer (made in-house!) and specialty coffee, of course.
The space is laid back and inviting, and the menu is fun and changes a lot which is great, there is a lot of thought being put into the dishes. They do a great brunch, and the French toast is very, very good.
IN A NUTSHELL:
Atmosphere: Very casual and hip.
Recommended: The burger with three cuts of beef and BONE MARROW in the patty, double cheese, double bacon, house made pickles, bourbon onions and Paul Yellow Bakery brioche.
Specifics: Caravelle has an atmosphere that you don’t find in many places in the city, a very hip metropolitan kind of vibe, but very relaxed.
Reservations: It’s usually very busy, and they don’t take reservations so come early!
Address: Pintor Fortuny 31
