38 New Restaurants in Barcelona - June Edition
Yup, it's that time again. A long, long list of new restaurants that are opening in Barcelona, or have opened, in the last couple of months. So many new places to discover!
Zed - Close to Sagrada Familia you can find this wonderfully cute bar and concept store. Instagram: @zedzedbcn. C/Valencia 399
Fit Kitchen - This place has been opened by fitness enthusiasts, and the food here is focused on nutrition. They have an in-house dietitian that plans the meals. They have additional services like meal plans if you are looking someone to help you out with planning a healthy lifestyle. Instagram: @fitkitchenbarcelona. C/ Valencia 509
Isla Tortuga - The restaurant company En Compañia de Lobos opened Lobito not long ago, and it has now changed its name to Isla Tortuga. They are known for good quality Mediterranean food, so you are not likely to be disappointed. Instagram: @islatortugabarcelona. Llauder 1.
Rare - A burger restaurant is under construction, we don't know much yet but keep your eyes out! Instagram: @rarebcn. C/ Casp 55.
Mako Japanese Tavern - As the name suggests Mako is a Japanese restaurant, and by the looks of it very tasty food is being served here! It looks elaborated (dried roe!), we will be trying this place out soon. They opened a new location on Consell de Cent 255 recently. Instagram: @makobcn.
La Xarxa: On Plaza Molina a new restaurant has popped up where the focus is on fresh ingredients and plenty of seafood. Instagram: @laxarxabarcelona. Via Augusta 115.
Chingón - This California-style food place has opened a second Barcelona location on C/ Lancaster 20. Instagram: @chingonfood.
Organika - Pizzas, crepes and salads, all organic. They also serve organic drinks and cocktails. Instagram: @organikabcn. C/Tuset 17.
Extra Bar - The team behind La Pubilla has opened a bar on Torrent de l'Olla 79. The food looks great! Instagram: @extra_bar
Paul Yellow Bakery - This artisan sourdough bakery have been working in Cooccio before, but now they are working on opening their own location. They provide fantastic bread to several of the coolest restaurants in the city, so keep an eye out. Instagram: @paulyellowbakery. C Regomir 4biz.
Maná 75 - Paella and Gastronomic experiences they say, and it does indeed look very tasty. Just what Joan de Borbó needs. Instagram: @mana75barcelona. Paseo Joan de Borbó 101.
Masala 73 - These guys have been working out of a food truck for a long time, and have been hugely successful. Finally they have opened a brick-and-mortar Curry Bar, on C/ Muntaner 152. Instagram: @masala73.
Vivelo Fleming - A Vermouth and Tapas bar on Doctor Fleming 25. They have a nice terrace too. Instagram: @vivelofleming.
El Arbol - A cute brunch place has opened recently, beautifully decorated with swings (!). The service is lovely. Instagram: @elarbolbrunchbcn. C/ Aribau 36.
Pizza Circus - This popular pizza place has opened its second location on C/ Carme 74 in the Raval, and here pizza is not the only focus here even though the name might suggest it.
Sucursal Aceitera - Good quality local food is the theme, and the place is pretty too! Instagram: @sucursalaceitera. C/ Comte Borrell 36.
Belillo - Organic neapolitan pizzas (and more Italian food) on Enric Granados 15. Instagram: @belillo_es.
El Sifó d'en Garriga - Popular gastro bar Cuines d'en Garriga has opened a second location with tapas, vermouth and snacks. Open all day from early morning. Instagram: @elsifodengarriga. C/ Consell de Cent 308.
Sants Vermuts - A new vermouth bar in Sants, a small place with good food (we're told). Instagram: @santsvermuts18. C/ Finlandia 18.
Dr. Stravinsky - A cool new craft cocktail bar has opened in the Born, and the cocktails look pretty amazing, with very interesting ingredients (cocoa kombucha..!) Instagram: @dr.stravinsky_bcn. C/ Mirallers 5.
Spark - Catalan cuisine done well on C/ Diputació 329. The place looks pretty too. Instagram: @spark.barcelona.
Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha - There is a solid team behind this project: Xemei, Cañete and Terrazza Martinez. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the pizzas are apparently very good. Instagram: @frankie_gallo_chachacha. C/ de Marquès de Barberà 15.
Van Van Var - Van Van Market has opened a bar! And their idea is genius, the food is provided by rotating food truck vendors that take over the kitchen. Instagram: @vanvanvar. C/ Pujades 27.
La Cala Barceloneta - A cute place by the beach that serves toasts, juices, bowls and cakes. Instagram: @lacalabarceloneta. C/ Escar 18 5B.
El Racó del Peix - A new seafood restaurant in Horta, it looks very promising..! Instagram: @elracodelpeix. C/ Tajo 8.
Media Manga - The team behind the amazing Mont Bar has opened a restaurant just next door, and it is apparently as great as its predecessor. Instagram: @mediamangabcn. C/ Aribau 13.
Frenesi Café - This café is absolutely adorable, I've written a post about it here. Plenty of organic sweet and savoury dishes, good quality specialty coffee, and a nice atmosphere. Instagram: @frenesicafe. Comte d'Urgell 115.
Mon Viet - A new Vietnamese restaurant has opened in Sant Antoni. Instagram: @monvietbcn. C/Sepulveda 94.
Ramen House - More ramen in the house! This place opened first in Manresa, and now they have opened in Barcelona too, on Gran Via 682. It looks delicious! Instagram: @ramen.house.
Teòric - This new restaurant has received a lot of attention. Catalan cuisine with local and organic ingredients. The dishes look great! Instagram: @teoric_taverna_gastronomica. C/ Bailen 117.
Flexbowls - Healthy fast food through nutritious bowls and salads. Instagram: @flexbowlsbarcelona. C/ Diputació 289.
Garbo Vinateria Gastronómica - A new restaurant in Born, it looks VERY promising. There is not much information on it at the moment, but keep your eyes out!
Nomad Coffee Everyday - Nomad has opened a cute place on Joaquin Costa 26. In addition to specialty coffee they also have kombucha, ice creams, cold brew and such.
Hopposite - We don't know much about this place yet, other than it's street food and Italian cuisine, plus craft beer, obviously.
Big Kokka - A new Nikkei restaurant has opened where Big Fish used to be. It belongs to Grupo San Telmo. Passatge Mercantil 1.
Modu - In Gracia you can now find a Korean restaurant with great looking bibimbap. Instagram: @cafemodu. C/ Minerva 8.
La Balmesina - An authentic Italian restaurant with sourdough pizzas and organic ingredients. Instagram: @la_balmesina. C/ Balmes 193.
Amovino - These guys are specialised in Catalan wines, and have great looking dishes to go with them too. They organise wine tastings too, and there is a small terrace outside. Instagram: @amovinobarcelona. C/ Aribau 30.
