El Tast de Joan Noi
This is a place we discovered when we were food shopping at the local market in Gracia. Sometimes bars/food stalls in markets can be a hit, but sometimes really a big miss. So I was suspicious, but we went ahead and sat down in one of the high chairs and ordered a few dishes. And it was delicious!
We usually have almejas (clams), little fried fish, scallops which is all great, but the tuna is really amazing. They put a delicious sauce on it that just makes it tuna perfection. This is a place to go for early Saturday (before noon) when it’s easier to get a seat.
IN A NUTSHELL
Atmosphere: It’s in the middle of a neighborhood market, so it’s busy! But go early and grab the chairs in the corner, there you’re not bothered by anyone.
Recommended: The tuna, without a doubt!
Specifics: The guy behind the counter has worked in the famous Botafumeiro as a chef.
Reservations: Doesn't take reservations.
