La Branqueta - A Japanese Haven
If you have been to Japan and loved it, then you will find a safe haven in La Branqueta. The spared and charming wabi-sabi feeling will make you feel like you’re right there, in a cool neighborhood in Tokyo.
And even if you haven’t been to Japan, go here for a little taste of it. The place is small, and located on a side street, which makes it a little bit of a secret. One that I almost didn’t want to share..!
I went there in the morning, and chose a lovely cup of matcha latte, and a anko (bean)-filled mochi. The tea was served in beautiful, delicate ceramics, that the lady behind the counter carefully hand-washed together with the other cups and plates.
There is a lunch menu with a couple of vegan- and vegetarian friendly options, that I can’t wait to go back to try. And now there will be bento boxes to go too! I am very excited about La Branqueta, and it will turn into a regular hangout for me, no doubt.
