New Restaurants - March Edition
It's that time again! A long list of new restaurants that have recently opened (or are about to open) in Barcelona. It is a very exciting list of places, let me know when you have tried them! Some of them are so new that I did not manage to find links to their social media pages, but most of them have accounts on Insta.
Sol y Sombra - Suculent has opened a cocktail bar on Rambla de Raval 39. @solysombrabcn
Spice BCN - "The best chicken in Barcelona with South African and Carribean flavours". Sounds interesting, right? And very different. Plus their kitchen is open all day. Opened in November. C/ Amigo 39. @spicebcnL
Bar Sant Pau - tapas, pinchos and menu del día kind of bar on Ronda Sant Pau 39. @sant.pau
Quillo Bar - The "Andalucian cousin of Chico Bar" they say. Sounds interesting I say! C/ Rec Comtal 2.
Final Feliç - A new cute Catalan-Asian (!) restaurant in Sant Antoni, C/ Marqués de Campo Sagrado 27. @finalfeliç
La Barra de Carles Abellan - A new restaurant in the Barceloneta by this chef wizard behind Tapas 24, Suculent and others. Passeig de Joan Borbó 19.
Amaloca - Asian Fusion in Gracia. They've got live music too.! C/ Virtut 11. @amalocarestaurante.
La Bombilla - Wine, cheese, charcuterie, beer and cocktails. C/ Manso 13. @labombillabarcelona
Tapas y Cia - A restaurant close to Sagrada Familia that seems to be the real deal. They have rumba on Sundays too. Av Gaudi 17. @tapasycia
Hawker45 - They pay homage to the street hawkers of Asia and Latin America they say, and they are the talk of the town. C/ Casp 45. @hawker45bcn.
Parallelo - I visited these guys not so long ago and I was speechless. Artisan ice cream made right there on location! And the flavours are really cool! C/ Seneca 18. @parallelogelato
La Tere Gastrobar - A gastrobar in Sants, with Spanish fusion food. They do tapas, craft beers, cocktails, vermouth and wines. Looks promising! C/ Riego 25. @lateregastrobar
Pimienta Café - A specialty coffee shop in Poble Sec, they do Right Side Coffee. Radas 51. @pimientacafebcn
Dirty South - Fine southern cooking and craft cocktails. Can't wait for this place to open! C/ Bruc 46. @dirtysouthbcn
La Vecina - A pretty big restaurant with a large green back yard. Good for lunch. Guillem Tell 23. @lavecinabcn.
Dalston Coffee - A specialty coffee place in the Raval, all locally sourced. C/ Ramelleres 16. @dalstoncoffee
Teoric Taverna Gastronomica - Organic and locally sourced catalan cuisine. C/ Bailen 117. @teoric_taverna_gastronomica
La Dama - Opened in October, a absolutely gorgeous restaurant where they're looking for a social club kind of air. The food is french bistro kind of fair. They've got a beautiful cocktail bar too. Diagonal 423. @ladama.barcelona
Brotzeit - A German bakery in Gracia, just next to the Mercat de l'Abaceria. Calle Puigmartí 34. @brotzeitbcn
Cuba de Janeiro - Cuban and Brazilian mix that looks interesting, with jazz and bossanova playing in the background. Their cocktails look promising too. Avenida Mistral 33. @cubadejaneiro
Parlament - "Cuina de Barri" they say: nothing pretentious but really good dishes to share, in a pretty environment. Very recommendable! Carrer del Parlament 26. @parlamentbcn
Un'Altra Storia - A new Italian restaurant in Gracia! It looks really, really, really good..! Carrer de Saragossa 122. @unaltrastoria.cat
Macera - I am very curious about this place, can't wait for it to open. They have a place already in Madrid, and now they are opening on Nou de la Rambla 102. Their cocktails look like masterpieces! Plus there are rumours of grilled cheese sandwiches..! @maceratallerbar
Aquarelle Coffee Shop - New specialty coffee shop opening up soon inside the co-working space Factory103 on C/ Mallorca 103. @aquarelle.bcn
Double B - A specialty coffee shop opened in December in the Born, they do breakfast too plus they have got wine if you are that kind of thirsty..! They are pet friendly. Consolat de Mar 47. @doubleb.spain
Ramen-Ya Ajisen Artesanal - This new ramen place in Les Corts has already received really good reviews. Carrer del Marquès de Sentmenat 20.
SomSacs - A 100% gluten free restaurant, their concept seems to be very interesting. Mallorca 200. @somsacs
Ferment 9 - This place seems incredibly fascinating. It's a fermentation shop, workshop, laboratory and school. It will open soon in Sant Antoni. You will be able to find coconut water kefir, kombucha, tepache, fermented gazpacho and more! @ferment9
l'Ow Boqueria - This place looks gorgeous, and you can have brunch there too! Plus they have a terrace. Carrer Jerusalem 30 Local 6. @lowboqueria
Green Up - A health food place in Sarrià. They do a mean brunch too! Av. Sarrià 21. @greenupsarria21
Totora - Everybody and their mother is going to this new Peruvian restaurant, but it looks legit! Corsega 235. @totorabcn
Rioba - A new restaurant in Poble Sec that has a short but sweet menu with good quality ingredients. I love bone marrow but it's difficult to find in Barcelona, but you can find it here! Magalhaes 35. @riobarestaurant
Karlito's - Açai-waffle bowl, do I need to say more..? A healthy place with juices, smoothies, sweets and snacks that are good for you. Escudellers 56. @karlitos_barcelona
Restaurante Tallers - Tapas and cocktails that look very promising, even considering its proximity to the Ramblas. Tallers 6-8. @restaurantetallers
L'Escale - This French restaurant has now opened its doors. The do French market cuisine and tapas. Sounds interesting! Passatge de Lluís Pellicer 12. @lescale_restaurant_bcn
Pork & Tuna - A gastronomic space with gourmet products, the food looks really good. Passeig García Faria 81. @porkandtuna
Barna Brew - A Belgian style brewery in Sant Antoni with a really cool decoration and great vibes. Parlament 45. @barnabrew
