21 Mars Bistrot - Cozy and Eclectic

The kind of place you would only find if someone recommends it to you is the definition of 21Mars.Bistrot. They don't make much ado about themselves, which is part of its magic.

The two owners, French Rudy, and Italian Marco, also add to the charm. They're friendly and welcoming, and it feels like you're visiting their home when you arrive. It also reflects in the service you receive; they are incredibly welcoming. Even the eclectic decoration brings a quirky homely feeling: the walls are packed with mirrors, horse-themed artwork, and shelves with curiosities. They are all items from Marco's own collection.

The menu here is handwritten, with dishes that change on the regular. They lean toward Italian cuisine, with highlights such as the parmigiana (very recommendable!), artichoke lasagna (delicious), the home-made porchetta, or a cheese- and charcuterie board (pick the size you prefer). There is one dessert: Rudy's tiramisu, and you shouldn't miss it. The wines are mainly Italian and French, and they don't disappoint.

This lovely bistro is wonderfully charming, and you'll stay for hours and hours... The decor, the owners, the food: it all comes together in a wonderful messy mix, and it is adorable.
