Mina - Showcasing Italian Dishes
Mina is the charming creation of three friends from diverse backgrounds coming together. Jacopo, Riccardo, and Oliviero run this beautiful, cozy restaurant in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, close to Francesc Macià. It’s a bit hidden away, not easy to spot from the street unless you know where to look—but trust me, it’s absolutely worth finding.

Once inside, you’ll discover a charming space with distressed walls, a stainless-steel countertop, and an abundance of candles and wine bottles. The restaurant isn’t large, but it’s made up of several intimate nooks, so you can choose your favorite corner. The bar is perfect for those who want to see the action up close, but there are also seats in the back where you can catch a glimpse into the kitchen. The restaurant's design was crafted by the same team behind cool Tiberi Bar, which should tell you something.

Looks aren’t everything, though—the food and wine deserve just as much attention. This young team gets it right on every level. Riccardo, who manages the wine list and previously worked at the wine mecca Monvinic, will happily help you find the perfect pairing for your meal and taste preferences.

The food at Mina is fresh and inventive. Federico Tiseyra is the chef de cuisine, with an impressive CV with plenty of time spent in Michelin-star restaurant kitchens. His dishes are exciting, unique, and memorable, and I love that the menu isn’t too long: the team gives so much care to all the details and there is a lot of work behind each dish.

Expect a delightful mix of flavors, textures, seasonal ingredients, and touches of Italian tradition. Mina embodies what I love most: a young, talented team creating a space that is welcoming, unpretentious, and genuinely exciting, with warm, friendly service. Mina is, without a doubt, one of my favorite new openings this year.
