Salut Bistró - Friends, Food, and Wine
I’m in awe of places that manage to open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, AND dinner, and keep it cool and exciting for each occasion. This is precisely what Salut Bistró does.

This friendly and approachable hangout is run by three friends, Nadya, Sergei, and Eduard, who have ventured to create this space where everyone can feel welcome any time of day. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and beautiful: the interior design was made by Anna Sysoeva, who also designed the stunning Mollo Coffee.

Brunch is a cool affair with classics but also touches of something a little different. We absolutely loved the syrniki pancakes: fluffy, not-too-sweet curd cheese pancakes served with creme fraiche and apricot compote. We also tried the grilled cheese sandwich made with bread from Pa de Kilo (they make fantastic bread), which we enjoyed. There was something else that caught our eye on the menu: the brioche with caviar. Smooth, fluffy brioche (also from Pa de Kilo), slightly buttered, and topped off with a generous amount of orange caviar. Beautiful to look at and even more delicious to devour.

In the evening the vibe changes a lot, but it is equally exciting. It has a bistro vibe, with chefs working behind the kitchen counter, and the place has a bistro vibe. The dinner menu is all about dishes to share, with options like raw seabass, yellow kiwi and salted cucumber, or shrimp crudo with yuzukosho and creme fraiche, and an extensive range of natural wines. I highly recommend the beef cheek croquetas, the scallops with cauliflower and yuzu, the burrata cheese with beets and figs, or the tortilla with chorizo mousse.

There are more than 60 different wine options, mostly local ones which is fun. They’ve also given some love to the fortified wines, which I greatly appreciate. Also a special mention to the chocolate dessert: a wonderful concoction of chocolate, hazelnut and salty caramel..!

The philosophy of Salut Bistró is not only to make everyone feel welcome (the team is very friendly) but also to source ingredients as locally as possible. They pay attention to all the details: from the beautiful plates and good-quality forks and knives to locally roasted coffee (Morrow Coffee) and more.
Salut Bistró is the kind of place that quickly becomes a hangout to visit any time of the day. They have a cute terrace (perfect for dog owners), a little window where you can enjoy your coffee and watch the world pass by, and cozy tables inside. Simply put: something for everyone.
