Velvet Room in Les Corts is a lovely experience. It’s small and intimate, with live music, classic cocktails and also food on the menu so that you can spend the whole evening there rather than having to organize dinner somewhere else first (or after). The bar itself is inspired by the jazz and piano bars of the 1940s and 50s, and music is very much part of the experience.

I had a beautiful French 75 made with champagne and it was perfect. The cocktail list has plenty of classics, and also wine, champagne and cava, and the drinks go perfectly with the cozy space.
Because Velvet Room isn’t very big, the music feels intimate too. You’re close to the performers, the space is inviting, and it is perfect for a date night. I also love that it’s in Les Corts, away from the busier, more touristy parts of Barcelona.
They serve food as well, including tapas such as bravas, meatballs, anchovies, croquetas and other small dishes to share, so you can easily make a full evening of your visit.
