Bar Anita - Seasonal Tapas and Comforting Dishes
Bar Anita isn’t brand new, but it deserves your attention. Found on a pedestrian stretch of Consell de Cent, this cozy spot is part of the Pantea Group (Can Fisher (read my review here), Público (read more here), Superlocal, Eldelmar...), known for doing things well: friendly service, great product, and restaurants with their own unique concept that always do it right.

They’ve brought the same key to success to Bar Anita, and it shows. The terrace is sunny and calm, ideal for lunch, tapas with vermouth, or an early dinner. Inside, it’s cozy and inviting: the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease.

Bar Anita is open every day, with continuous kitchen hours, which is a rare (and welcome) thing in Barcelona. Whether you're after a midweek lunch, a proper dinner, or just a snack and a drink in the afternoon, it fits the bill perfectly. On weekends they stay open late, making it a solid option for a casual dinner with friends or something more spontaneous. It’s also great for groups!

The food? Expect familiar dishes with playful, seasonal updates. There’s a strong tapas offering - great croquetas, patatas bravas, and charcuterie — but also bigger plates and rotating specials written on the blackboard. These change often depending on what’s in season, and it’s worth asking the helpful staff for recommendations.

It’s one of those places that feels genuinely easy to return to. Good food, good people, and a relaxed vibe. Nothing overthought or trying too hard, just a well-executed restaurant that gets all the little things right.
