Snapshot - Bar Canyi

Bar Canyí is the kind of neighborhood bar I wish there were more of. It has a strong southern Spanish feel, a very charming interior, vinyl records spinning behind the bar, and a short menu of traditional Spanish and Catalan dishes done with great technique. Francesc Beltri, the chef behind the now-closed Michelin-starred Slow & Low, is behind it, so the quality is exactly where you’d expect it to be. I especially love the emphasis on sherry and other fortified wines, and the fact that despite all that background, it still feels laid back and very much like a proper local bar.
