Bar Remedios is a stunning new addition to the tapas bar scene in Barcelona. Nestled in an Eixample corner with a terrace and large windows, it's easy on the eyes. The distressed walls, open shelves, window seats, and old-timey wine fridges make this bar a welcoming spot for hungry diners.

But that’s not all – looks aren't everything. Bar Remedios surprises with its solid menu, beautifully displayed on the wall (see photo above). On the menu, you’ll find many tapas classics, including croquetas, bravas, tortilla, and ensaladilla. There are also a few surprises, like the fondue bikini (grilled sandwich) that I highly recommend trying, as well as the oxtail, and for dessert their unusual cheesecake (on our visit it was made with manchego cheese).

The wine menu is curated and interesting, featuring great local options and a few international ones too. Additionally, there’s vermouth, sherries, cava, and more. If you sit close to the kitchen you can have a peek inside where the talented team prepares the delicious dishes.

As evening falls, the atmosphere at Bar Remedios transforms. Think after-work drinks, friends meeting up, and a great place to start your evening. They even invite DJs to match the vibe.
