The bar scene in Barcelona has reached a whole new level with the arrival of Oblicuo Hi-Fi Bar. Ivan Vele and Dobrochna Giedwidz, both with fascinating backgrounds in the music industry and cultural projects, have put so much thought and care to this one-of-a-kind concept located in Gràcia, inspired by the Jazz Kissa listening bars in Japan.

There is nothing quite like it in the city. The astonishing double HiFi sound system is bespoke and hand-crafted specifically for them by sound designer Giorgio Di Salvo, and the interior design is incredibly thought-through for the best listening experience, and for it to be stunning to look at.

Italian mixologist Marco Baci has created an impressive cocktail menu, paying homage to classic cocktails but with the Oblicuo touch. There is a curated natural wine selection with interesting options, with a specific focus on local vineyards, and a soon-to-come sake options, all picked by sake sommelier Sussie Villarico (Cooking in Motion).

Oblicuo invites guest vinyl selectors 5 days a week: carefully picked, talented guests to make the experience truly special. There are also intimate, live performances; make sure to follow them on social media to see their programming (IG: @oblicuohifibar). They open fairly early, at 19h, and it fill up fast with people who have found a unique place to enjoy a memorable evening.

Oblicuo Hi-Fi bar feels welcoming to everyone: for audiophiles but also for those who want to enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine with friends or a partner. They have opened fairly recently, but this is the kind of place where you know it will be a true game-changer. It is indeed a wonderful experience for all the senses.
