I Finally Put All My Favorite Barcelona Food Recommendations in One Place

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that most of what I do revolves around one simple question: where to eat and drink well in Barcelona.

For years, I’ve been sharing recommendations here on the blog, on Instagram, and in newsletters. And for just as long, I’ve been getting the same messages over and over again: Can you send me your list?, Do you have a map?, Where would you take a friend who’s visiting for the first time?

The truth is, my recommendations have lived a bit everywhere. Saved places on Google Maps, bookmarked blog posts, notes on my phone, links I’d send to friends, DMs. Useful, but scattered.

So I finally decided to put everything in one place.

Why I made it

I didn’t set out to create a product. I wanted something practical I could actually use myself, and something I could confidently share when people asked where to go.

Barcelona has an incredible food scene, but it can also be overwhelming. Endless lists, tourist traps, places that look good online but don’t deliver. I wanted a way to cut through that and make planning simple, without taking away the joy of discovering the city.

This guide and map grew naturally out of that need. I want you to have special memories, not only meals, just like the ones I’ve had during these 18 years I’ve eaten in Barcelona.

What’s inside

The Google Map

Personal Google Maps

At the heart of it all is a personal Google Map with over 300 places I genuinely like and return to. Restaurants, bars, cafés, bakeries, wine bars, all saved in one place, and updated when I find a new spot I like.

This is what I use day to day. When I’m in a neighborhood and want to know where to go, I open the map and choose. It’s especially useful if you live in Barcelona or visit often, and want reliable options without thinking too much.

Everything opens directly in Google Maps on your phone, so it’s always with you.

The Guide

Alongside the map, I created a curated food guide of 30+ pages that adds context and structure.

The guide includes categories, neighborhoods, itineraries, and practical tips, written the same way I’d recommend places to a friend. It’s meant to help you make sense of the city, whether you’re here for the first time, coming back again, or you live here and look for inspiration.

There are no paid placements and no filler lists, just places I genuinely enjoy and would happily send someone to.

Who it’s for

This is for anyone who wants to eat well in Barcelona without wasting time or money.

It’s especially helpful if you’re visiting for the first time and want to avoid tourist traps, but it’s also made for people who live here or come back often and want a clear overview of good places across the city.

If you enjoy thoughtful food, local spots, and recommendations that come from experience rather than trends, this will be useful. If you’re looking for viral hotspots or run-of-the mill chains, it’s probably not for you.

How I use it myself

I use the map almost daily, whether I’m planning ahead or deciding on the spot. I send it to friends before they arrive in Barcelona, and I still refer back to the guide when planning a few days of eating or recommending neighborhoods.

It’s become my own reference point: everything I trust, in one place.

Where to find it

If this sounds useful, you can find the 2026 guide, the Google Map, and a best value bundle with both here:

One last thing

This is the first of more guides to come. I’m already working on new ones, each with a slightly different focus, but built in the same spirit. I can’t wait to share them with you!

As always, thank you for reading, following along, and trusting my recommendations. And if you end up using the guide or the map, I’d love to hear what you think.
