Bubo - Pastries like Works of Art
Bubó is quite the institution in Barcelona. Their pastries are something of a work of art. Their pastry shop in Barcelona is somewhat hidden, just in front of the Santa Maria Del Mar church. The window is filled with fabulous puffy croissants with different fillings, and once you go inside you find a large display of everything you’ve ever dreamed of.

Their individual pastries are absolutely beautiful. They come in all shapes and forms, all made with plenty of love and care, and with so many elaborate details. Like the Opera Bordeaux: a joconde cake made with almonds and hazelnuts, chocolate and coffee ganache, chocolate and hazelnut mousseline, cocoa, coffee and hazelnut crunch and ganduja macaron.

If you are looking for something larger, maybe for a celebration, a birthday or similar, they have beautiful cakes of different sizes. Look for the macarons and the individual desserts too.

Make sure to have a look at the chocolate stand with beautiful creations such as the cute cuborrons, and the gorgeous chocolate heart that is filled with chocolate inside. They have seasonal pastries such as the tuborrons in many flavors (nougat that is typical around here for Christmas), the panettone, chocolate ornaments and the roscones.

Bubó is not only a shop, you can sit down and enjoy your pastry right there, together with a cup of coffee.
