Els Pollos de Llull - Best Roasted Chicken in the City?

Els Pollos de Llull is a Barcelona classic. It’s been around since forever, and they have truly mastered the way the roast their chicken. It’s seriously addictive, and it’s just as delicious even if you have it delivered (places like these are a great resource for a lazy Sunday lunch).

They have two locations, one in Poblenou and another location close to Sagrada Familia. They cater for everyone: office workers visiting for lunch, families and big groups in the evenings and weekends, and of course lots and lots of takeaway and delivery.

Els Pollos de Llull have during the years fine-tuned their roasted chicken to perfection. The herbs and spices, the oil and the wine it is made perfectly moist with during the grilling, and the tenderness of the meat. You can choose between different kinds of chicken, one of which is organic. There are obviously great sides too, my personal favorite is the chicken liver skewer that I am obsessed with. But you’ll find other classics such as canelones, croquetas, escalivada, and much more.

Their drinks selection is good, too, with nice local wines, vermouths, and cocktails. It is excellent for groups (they also do separate group menus) and perfect to go with kids.
