Poblenou has a wonderful new vegan brunch, and it is called Morgentau. In case you don’t know German, it means morning dew, isn’t that lovely?

The space is so pretty and homely, and there is even a little corner for the kids to play. There are lots of plants, calm, natural colors, and large windows. Across the street there’s a park, which makes it all even more stunning. Oh, and a terrace if you prefer to sit outside.

The team here is very friendly, and the menu varied and interesting. Here they don’t try to take the easy way out: the dishes are elaborate (but casual!) and of course very tasty. The drinks menu is also interesting (I want to go back and try their spritz in different flavors!), and that usually says a lot about a place.

On our first visit we tried their black bean burger, and it was delicious. The blueberry pancakes were also a big surprise: there were blueberries also inside the pancake batter which made them super juicy and flavorful. I loved that the pancakes weren’t too sweet, just perfect, and served with yoghurt and poppy seeds.
