There are some beautiful values behind Faire. Brunch & Drinks. This cozy brunch restaurant offers vegan and vegetarian dishes made with carefully sourced ingredients. The idea here is to impact the environment as little as possible in everything ranging from the server they use for the website to composting all the food scraps. And for each receipt, they plant a tree!

The space is lovely: all the furniture is vintage/second-hand, and the room in the back with a leafy little patio is gorgeous. There's also a curbside terrace.

Faire is quite the anomaly in the brunch scene in Barcelona: you can actually book a table in advance! But if you're not much of a planner, do not worry; you can swing by anyway because they leave free tables for walk-ins.

So what about the menu, you ask? Among my favorites are the pancakes, the huge toasts (they have several to choose from, and the bread is from the excellent Origo Bakery), and the Tartufo, which consists of creamy burrata and eggs on truffled mushrooms. You have to try their cookies: they are inspired by the famous ones from Levain Bakery in NYC, and they are mind-blowing. The dishes are all colorful and pretty, you’ll want to try everything!
