Kibuka Ramen - Izakaya Vibes

Much-loved Kibuka, known for their scrumptious fusion sushi, has expanded into the world of ramen, and we love it! Kibuka Ramen is here to stay. They've opened their ramen shop and izakaya in Gràcia, with a great location next to Plaza de la Vila. The restaurant is spacious but cozy and is great for groups, with an adjacent room featuring two large tables.

The menu is extensive, and ramen is by no means the only main dish. Among the appetizers, there are interesting creations such as the spicy kimchi-pickled kyuri (pickled cucumbers with kimchi), but also familiar ones such as their addictive edamame.

The dumpling section offers not only one but five different options, ranging from gyozas to tori dumplings to dim sum. The rice and noodle section has both vegetarian and gluten-free dishes (you'll find both throughout the menu!), and among the mains, you'll find kaarage, two different okonomiyaki, tonkatsu, sautéed pork ribs, and much more. So many dishes to try!

And then there's ramen. They have no less than nine different versions, and on top of that, three different veggie versions and two Tsukemen ramen. I am impressed. If you wish, you can opt for gluten-free noodles or freshly made buckwheat noodles. They have fun optional toppings, and it's very hard to choose, but in a good way...! I love the Tan Tan ramen: creamy and spicy.

The desserts are plentiful (we like the white chocolate and yuzu mousse!), and of course, there is sake, rice liquor, and many affordable local wine options. On weekdays, Kibuka Ramen offers a lunch deal that includes an appetizer or dessert, any ramen from the menu, toppings, and a drink.

Kibuka Ramen is just as reliable as its sushi predecessor, and we will work our way through the whole menu. There's no doubt about it.
