Miel - A Sweet Spot in Gràcia

Miel is a sweet new arrival in Gràcia, and it is the kind of place that deserves to be part of your regular rotation. Run by Natalia, a very talented Colombian pastry chef (who originally studied architecture!) and her friend Melissa, Miel brings seasonal local ingredients, spices, and just a hint of American flair.

Natalia trained at Hofmann here in Barcelona, and before opening this space, she baked on demand for years: bespoke cakes, special orders, treats for friends and clients. Now, together with her friend, she’s opened this cozy bakery where you can stop in for coffee, pastries, or even take home a bottle of natural wine. The timing for the opening is perfect, with Thanksgiving and the holiday sweets coming up!

What you’ll find

  • Classics with character — carrot cake, pecan pies, crumble tarts, but elevated by her thoughtful touch.

  • Standout creations — cookies that surprise: milk chocolate with almond and orange blossom (so good!), pear and cardamom crumble, tartlets, a chai blondie that’s absolutely incredible..!

  • Flexibility in size — many pastries are available in up to six different sizes (!), and she’s happy to take custom orders.

  • Warm, inviting energy — she’s incredibly sweet, curious, and excited about each batch she bakes.

The space feels intimate and friendly, the kind of bakery where you linger over your coffee, chatting with the baker about the day’s flavors. Every item feels considered, different, and absolutely delicious.
