Mog Barcelona - Goan Charm

Lovely Mog is a restaurant it is impossible not to fall in love with. Everyone who visits leave feeling delighted, and it’s easy to see why.

Mog (means love!) is run by a brother-and-sister duo, Raul and Rachel. The space is very charming, old-timers may remember it as the plant-filled Entre Comillas. The walls are painted red, with exposed brick, and a shelf packed with bottles of natural wine.

The menu is written on a chalkboard, and I can tell you right now that picking from the list is very hard. You’ll want to try every single dish! The chili shrimp, turmeric mussels, Mike’s chicken, Goan fish curry, kra pao… All delightful and bound to leave you speechless. They’re also happy to amp up the spice if that’s your thing! The food is not too heavy at all: it’s fresh, full of flavor, and incredibly addictive. Oh, and it’s perfect for sharing.

If you are a fan of natural wines you will not be disappointed here. They have wonderful wines to choose from. On my first visit, I had a wine that went straight to my top list: I still can’t forget about it.

Mog has managed to stay under the radar for many, but it deserves all the attention: this restaurant is very unique, charming, and truly special.
