Taulat 44 - Delightful Cafe with Delicious Pastries

Taulat 44 has stunning aesthetics that draws you in immediately. But it’s not only the minimalist, bright decor that attracts guests from near and far: it is also the great specialty coffee prepared by skilled baristas, and the freshly baked pastries.

At first sight, you might not have guessed that you can order deli-type food from the kitchen, too. There are creative and fun dishes that are perfect for breakfast or brunch (arroz con leche with granola, Mbeyu which is a fried egg with avocado), and some that are ideal for any time of the day, such as a kimchi grilled cheese sandwich, cauliflower couscous, or the huge skillet cookie.

But make sure to save space for cake! They make the most delicious sweet creations here (also to order!), including key lime pie, ricotta pie, pavlova… And addictive cookies such as the miso pecan cookie that is thick and gooey inside, and a scrumptious banana split danish.

The team here is very friendly, which is highly appreciated and adds to the atmosphere. On my last visit I also got a little fortune cookie with my matcha latte, which was a cute little gesture! The range of options for specialty coffee will thrill any caffeine geek, with options ranging from latte macchiatos to iced white lotus lattes and moccas.

Taulat is a must-visit in funky Poblenou: a great destination any time of the day!
