One of the pioneering restaurants in Barcelona to offer authentic Thai cuisine is Thai Barcelona. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the restaurant remains as lovely as ever.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a large gilded statue at the entrance, complemented by dark wooden floors and abundant fresh flowers. Interestingly, the restaurant receives weekly deliveries of fresh flowers, adorning the entire space, including the bathrooms, with orchids and other floral arrangements.

The kitchen boasts a team of Thai chefs, with the head chef displaying true artistry in his culinary creations. Each dish is meticulously prepared and full of flavor. Additionally, the team includes experts in fruit and vegetable carving, crafting stunning garnishes.

Thai Barcelona proudly holds the Thai Royal Cuisine certificate for gastronomy, a testament to its authenticity. The extensive menu caters well to vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten-free dietary preferences, all certified to avoid cross-contamination. For an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend the tasting menu, offering great value and a variety of flavors. Lunch, kids', and vegan menus are also available.

It is very hard to pick a favorite from the menu: I have thoroughly enjoyed most things I’ve tried here. If you’re a fan of spices don’t be afraid to ask for this, the team is happy to help! Don’t miss the Thai Tea drink: a wonderful, sweet, non-alcoholic green tea with condensed milk and ice.

Despite its ample space, reservations are strongly recommended, especially for groups and on weekends. Downstairs, guests can experience Thai-style dining seated on the floor, with a comfortable space underneath the table for legs. It's a unique and enjoyable experience.
