There is one man that is one everyone’s lips right now in Barcelona: The Chai Guy. He goes under the name Bahram, and pours his heart and soul into a Masala Chai that is guaranteed to be like nothing you’ve ever tasted before.

The Chai Guy does a pop-up on weekends approximately once a month, where he offers his freshly brewed Masala Chai for those who are looking for a tasty pick-me-up. Make sure to check his IG account to see where he is located, since he pops up in different places depending on the weekend.

I have tried many, many kinds of Masala Chai, some good ones and some not so great. But Bahram’s Masala Chai takes on a whole different level. This Masala Chai is extremely well balanced, perfected, and surprising with its complexity. It has many levels that you keep discovering, from the first sip to the last. It has a unique freshness to it when you first taste it, and from there you go on a wonderful journey filled with different, enticing spices. What an experience.

The Masala Chai made by the Chai Guy is vegan, and he is planning on extending his range with other types of chai teas. He buys the black tea used in the Masala Chai recipe from Assam in India, a city known as the tea capital, located in the Easter Himalayas. The black tea he chooses is the one most suitable for making Masala Chai.
