Trafalgar Pizza Club has managed to do the impossible: combine excellent quality pizza and a be very cool place to hang out for drinks with friends. The location is perfect: on an anonymous enough street that doesn’t draw too much crowd unless you know exactly what you’re looking for. Perfect, right?

As the name implies, the star on the menu here is the pizza. We spoke with Massimo, who has spent more than 20 years as a pizzaiolo, and he knows what he is doing. The ingredients come from Italy, including the stone-ground flour. The dough is fermented twice, 48 hours in total, and the pizza is prepared in a pizza oven that is said to be the Ferrari of all pizza ovens.

I’m not a big fan of pizza crust in general, but I can assure you: this one was insanely good. And not only the crust: the toppings, the flavors… Magnificent. The pizzas are named Track 1, Track 2, Track 3, etc., to go with the party vibe of the place. We tried Track 4, a pizza with tomato, burrata stracciatella, basil pesto, pistachio, and more basil. Yum.

We also opted for Track 6 with mozzarella, gorgonzola, smoked scamorza, búfala, and pecorino, and the Bonus Track with mozzarella, truffle cream, porcini mushroom, burrata, black pepper, truffle, and egg yolk. All three of them were delicious. To be honest, they are among the best pizzas I’ve had in Barcelona.

On the menu, there are also starters ranging from smoked provola to mortadella and pecorino, veggie dishes, and of course, Italian desserts. We were in a rush on our visit, but I will most definitely go back for that tiramisu…!

The space is very cool. It is so much bigger than what you’d expect from the front door. There are two different bars, several sofa areas, a fun space for groups, table football… There are DJs and cocktails, and it’s simply a perfect place for having a fun night out.
