Bar Manifest is one of the most fun wine bars in El Raval right now. It’s young, vibey and packed with energy, but still warm and intimate. The kind of place where you go for one glass and somehow stay until closing.

Atmosphere
Low light, wooden interiors and shelves filled with bottles (more than 100 different options!). There’s a wall of vinyl records and a record player spinning in the background, which gives the whole space personality. It’s a large room, but it feels cozy rather than cavernous. It gets packed, especially on weekends, so book ahead if you can. If not, try for a seat at the bar. It’s lively and a great way to start the night.

A Favorite
Something simple perhaps, but I love the gilda (and I’ve tried MANY). Salty, sharp, perfect with natural wine. Order the set of six! Also check the blackboard for wines by the glass. There are always interesting bottles open, and of you prefer to share a bottle there are lots of fun discoveries.

Something Special
It’s not just a wine bar with small bites. The food is taken seriously, but it’s still fun and exciting. You can keep it simple with oysters or olives, or order full dishes like steak tartar with crispy rice, cacio e pepe with truffle, or the pulpo hot dog with house-made kimchi. There’s range, which is perfect depending on if you’re staying for a while or just coming in for a drink and a snack before a dinner reservation somewhere.
