Contracorrent Bar Has Closed Near Arc de Triomf
Contracorrent Bar, the small restaurant near Arc de Triomf from Nicola Drago and Anna Pla, has closed.

I’m really sad to see it go! It was one of those places where the food always had personality, the wines were excellent, and letting Anna choose the wines was part of the experience. I wrote about it when it opened, and it remained one of my favorite places in the area.
The great news is that Contracorrent Bistro in Gràcia is still open, run by the same owners. It has a slightly different format, with two tasting-menu options, seasonal cooking and the same strong focus on natural wine. I love it there, and the prices are especially good for the kind of experience they offer.
So if you were a fan of the original Contracorrent Bar, this is where to go.
