Henry’s Bar - Dive Bar with a Twist
Poblenou has gained a cool new hangout when Henry’s Bar opened. They call themselves a dive bar, and it’s that and so much more! Sen and Carles have opened this bar where not only the decoration is awesome: you also feel so welcome when you come through their doors.

Henry’s opens already at 16h, which is awesome when you want to go for an afterwork, or hang out with your friends, and don’t want to wait until late when many other bars open here in the city. On the weekend it fills up fast, it is a popular hangout and I can understand why.

The menu at Henry’s is perfect. You have delicious bar food, ranging from a very tasty burger to grilled cheese, chicken wings in different variations, veggie options, pulled pork croquetas, loaded fries, fried chicken sandwich, and a whole lot more. The best kind of bar food!

What about the drinks, you ask? You will most definitely not be disappointed. The drinks are creative, funky, and fun, and there’s something for each taste. Ranging from twists on classics to signature cocktails, there are interesting ingredients and cool combinations. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far, but my favorite is Smoking Melon (above) with Midori, mezcal, cucumbere, yuzu, and lemon, and the Apple + Smoke with Jack Daniel’s Apple, green apple, Lapsang Souchong, PX, and lemon.

There’s also a terrace which is perfect for sunny days, and it’s also a great spot for those with four-legged friends: the bar itself is named after Henrietta, the owners’ dog, who likes to hang out in the bar until Carles’ mom who lives upstairs comes and picks her up..!
Henry’s Bar is everything I wish for in a bar and more, you’ll know exactly what I mean when you visit it!
