La Masala Café - a Peaceful Haven
A Tibetan and Spanish couple renovated an old bar and created a beautiful, peaceful haven called La Masala Cafe in the La Ribera/Sant Pere neighbourhood where so many cool new places have opened lately.

A beautiful La Marzocco coffee machine stands ready to prepare a good cup of Nomad coffee for you, and if specialty coffee is not your thing then make sure you try the home made masala chai, it's wonderfully spicy. There are not many places in Barcelona where you can get a good chai, but here you get the real deal.

La Masala is vegetarian, and they prepare great home-made cakes and cookies, and excellent toasts and bagels. It is a wonderful place to go for a nice catch up with your friends, the location is wonderfully calm and a perfect refuge from the hustle and bustle in the city.
