Lluritu - the Secret I Did Not Want to Share
Lluritu is hands down one of my favorite seafood restaurants, and it’s the kind of place you’ll almost want to keep a secret.

Lluritu is located in Gracia, and it is easily missed if you don't know exactly what you´re looking for. It is a small place that looks like any old bar, but if you look closer there's a bit of magic to it. The bar at the entrance has a funky menu on the wall, and the atmosphere is buzzing.

Many prefer to stay by the bar and have a vermouth or a well-poured beer and a few tapas, whereas others like to have a table in the back. The dining room has an Andalusian vibe over it, with ceramic tiles on the walls and old bar-style paper napkins. So charming!

The kitchen is tiny but has a grill, and that's where the magic happens in Lluritu. Almost everything on the menu is fish or seafood, and many of the items are made on the grill. The dishes are very simple, but with good raw material and the flavors from the grill the kitchen creates magic.

Some of the dishes have a simple but oh-so-fantastic sauce (not much else than olive oil with parsley) that brings the flavors to a whole new level, like the crayfish that is absolutely amazing. Their razor clams are enormous, and one of their specialities, dried octopus (which isn't dry or chewy at all) is simply fabulous.
Lluritu is so cool and the food is so good, it's impossible not to love this place. Now they have three locations, both equally awesome, and in the one in Eixample they also do paella and rice dishes.
