The loveliest combo has emerged at the beautiful and cool Hotel Brummell (read my review here), where Funky Bakers has taken over as the resident kitchen. This is the perfect opportunity to hang out in the cozy hotel—so charming and welcoming, you might forget it’s a hotel at all.

Funky Bakers (read my review here) has several spots around the city, including a bakery, deli, and Eatery. Now, in their new home at Brummell, they have a spacious kitchen where they make fresh pastries daily, along with plenty of other delicious treats.

In the morning, breakfast (and brunch, of course!) is served for both hotel guests and locals. I highly recommend the beautiful breakfast platter, which offers a tasty combination of seasonal breakfast items. A barista prepares specialty coffee using beans from a local roaster. You can also grab something from the display and take your coffee to go if you prefer.

But there’s much more than just breakfast here. You can sit down for lunch or enjoy an aperitif with a glass of natural wine, challah with dips to share, and many other delights. Choose to relax in the beautiful patio or grab a table inside and enjoy some people-watching. It’s also great for getting some work done!

Funky Bakers has carved its own path in Barcelona’s food scene with its unique offerings and freshly baked seasonal pastries, constantly creating fun new things. This charming addition to Poble Sec is a very welcome one, and perfect for visitors and locals alike!
