Best Rooftop Bars in Barcelona

Barcelona has no shortage of rooftop bars, but some are much better than others. These are the ones I’d choose for a drink with a view, from polished hotel terraces to more relaxed spots for sunset and cocktails.

Planning where to eat around Barcelona?
I’ve put my Barcelona recommendations into one place: my Eating Guide plus a private Google Map with 300+ restaurants, wine bars, cafés, bakeries and more.

SíSí Rooftop, Barcelona.

SíSí Rooftop

SíSí is on top of The Social Hub in Poblenou, with wide city views, a friendly atmosphere and food that goes beyond any usual rooftop snacks. It works just as well for drinks as it does for staying for dinner, and the whole place feels easygoing without being basic (or too stiff!)

SíSí Rooftop, The Social Hub, Carrer de Cristóbal de Moura, 49, Sant Martí, 08019 Barcelona.

You can read my review of SíSí here.

Hotel+Pulitzer+Rooftop+Terrace+Barcelona

Pulitzer Rooftop Terrace, Barcelona.

Pulitzer Terrace

All the cool kids gather on the rooftop terrace at the Pulitzer Hotel. There is often live music or a DJ on site adding to the atmosphere.

Carrer Bergara 8 (Plaça Catalunya).

Nobu Rooftop Barcelona

Nobu Rooftop Terrace, Barcelona.

Nobu Rooftop

The Nobu rooftop is located on the 23rd floor of the beautiful Nobu hotel. The views are fantastic, and you can enjoy snacks and delicious and elaborate cocktails while you are admiring the city from above. Make sure to check seasonal events!

Av. de Roma, 2, 4, 08014 Barcelona (Sants).

Tope, The Hoxton, Barcelona.

Tope, The Hoxton

Cool Hoxton hotel has a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant called Tope. It has a Mexican flair to it, with tasty tacos and drinks, and of course spectacular views.

Avinguda Diagonal, 205 (Poblenou).

Ayre+Hotel+Rooftop+Terrace+Barcelona

Terraza Sercotel Rosellón, Barcelona.

Terraza Sercotel Rosellón

Go here for the most gram-worthy views of the Sagrada Familia, it’s so close you can almost touch it (at least that’s what it feels like!).

Carrer Rosellón 390 (Eixample Dreta).

Yurbban+Trafalgar+Rooftop+Terrace+Barcelona

Yurbban Trafalgar, Barcelona.

Yurbban Trafalgar and Passage

Both of these cool hotels have nice rooftop bars, open every day from early afternoon. A relaxing rooftop bar with a pool and views of Ciutat Vella in one of the most attractive hotels in the area.

Carrer Trafalgar 30 (La Ribera).

Hotel Villa Emilia, Barcelona

Hotel Villa Emilia, Barcelona.

Hotel Villa Emilia

This very charming boutique hotel has a wonderful terrace that offers an oasis from the busy streets. They have two live concerts on the terrace on a weekly basis during summer, and you can enjoy good food (think tapas and dishes to share) and obviously drinks.

Hotel Villa Emilia, Carrer Calabria 115 (Eixample Esquerra).

The+Clock+Terrace+Barcelona

The Clock

The views from this hotel rooftop terrace are beautiful. It is located right by Plaça Espanya, and at night you can sip on your cocktail and watch the beautiful music and light display at Montjuic.

The Clock, Plaza de España 6 (8th floor at Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza), Barcelona (Plaça Espanya).

Sir Victor Hotel

Sir Victor Hotel is a five star-studded situation, with a lovely, secluded rooftop bar overlooking some of the most stunning sights in Barcelona. The drinks are elaborate, and the food is interesting: you can book a table here.

Sir Victor Hotel, C/ del Rosselló, 265,Barcelona (Eixample Dreta).

Rooftop+Bar+Casa+Bonay+Barcelona

Casa Bonay, Barcelona.

Casa Bonay

No doubt one of the coolest boutique hotels in the city. Their rooftop is open for guests, and they arrange events on a regular basis. The rooftop is called The Chiringuito and definitely worth a visit.

Casa Bonay, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 700 (Eixample Dreta).

Rooftop+Bar+Edition+Hotel+Barcelona

Barcelona Edition, Barcelona.

Barcelona Edition

This luxury hotel is on everyone’s lips, with its cabaret supper club and bespoke cocktail bar, but their rooftop bar isn’t bad either. They serve food, too: Latin-American dishes with Asian influences.

Barcelona Edition, Avinguda de Francesc Gambó 14, Barcelona (La Ribera).

Eleven BCN.

Eleven BCN

On the 11th floor of the NH Collection Gran Hotel Calderón, Eleven BCN has some of the widest views in central Barcelona, stretching out in almost every direction. The focus is very much on cocktails, with a menu that leans into Mexican flavours, plus snacks and small plates. It’s walk-in only, which makes it a good option when you want something central without having to plan too far ahead.

Eleven BCN, NH Collection Gran Hotel Calderón, Rambla de Catalunya, 26, Eixample, 08007 Barcelona.

Best rooftops barcelona

173 Rooftop Terrace.

173 Rooftop Terrace

The rooftop at the InterContinental Barcelona is one of the more spacious options in the city, with panoramic views, an infinity pool, cocktails and a Mediterranean menu built around dishes to share. It’s especially nice around sunset, and they regularly have live music and themed evenings during the season.

173 Rooftop Terrace, InterContinental Barcelona, Av. de Rius i Taulet, 1-3, Sants-Montjuïc, 08004 Barcelona.

Best rooftops Barcelona

Terraza de Vivi.

Terraza de Vivi

At the top of Kimpton Vividora, Terraza de Vivi looks out over the Gothic Quarter and feels a little more intimate than some of Barcelona’s larger hotel rooftops. There are cocktails, local small plates and plenty of places to sit, from tables to lounge seating, making it a good option for anything from a daytime drink to an early evening stop.

Terraza de Vivi, Kimpton Vividora, Carrer del Duc, 15, Gothic Quarter, 08002 Barcelona.

Best Rooftops Barcelona

360 Terrace at Barceló Raval.

360º Terrace at Barceló Raval

This one is all about the view. The rooftop of Barceló Raval wraps around the top of the hotel, giving you a full 360º look over Barcelona from the 11th floor. There’s a bar and a small pool, but the real reason to come is to walk around the terrace and see the city from every angle, especially toward sunset. Just be a little careful: the neighborhood has streets that are best not to walk through by yourself, or late at night.

360º Terrace, Barceló Raval, Rambla del Raval, 17-21, El Raval, 08001 Barcelona.

Azimuth

Beautiful Almanac hotel has a rooftop terrace with charming views and a very central, convenient location.

Azimuth, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 619-621, Barcelona (Eixample Dreta).

Rooftop+Bar+La+Isabela+Hotel+1898+Barcelona

La Isabela, Hotel 1898, Barcelona.

La Isabela at Hotel 1898

I know many a fan of this rooftop bar on top of Hotel 1898, right by the Ramblas. The cocktails here are top notch.

La Isabela, La Rambla 109, Barcelona (Raval).

Terraza Claris

This rooftop terrace has a wonderful restaurant (read my review here), and if you are after a cocktail or two, the bar isn’t bad either.

Terraza Claris, Carrer de Pau Claris 150, Barcelona (Eixample Dreta).‍ ‍

Rooftop+Bar+Mandarin+Oriental+Barcelona.jpeg

Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona.

Mandarin Oriental

The name already implies that this is something classy. Their Mimosa Garden is an oasis with lots of plants, and the Terrat offers beautiful views of the city.

Mandarin Oriental, Passeig de Gràcia 38-40, Barcelona (Eixample Dreta).

Dolce Vitae at Majestic

You’ll often find this terrace filled with both visitors and locals, sipping cocktails to the tunes of a resident DJ.

Majestic Hotel, Passeig de Gràcia 68, Barcelona (Eixample Dreta).

Not Quite Rooftops, But Worth Knowing

Two places that don’t quite fit the rooftop-bar definition, but are still worth considering if you’re after an outdoor drink with a view.

Cotton+House+Barcelona+Terrace

Cotton House, Barcelona.

Cotton House

While not precisely a rooftop bar, this beautiful 300 m2 also offers terrific food if the weather permits (it usually does, right?). You can both have lunch or dinner here, or just enjoy a nice drink.

Cotton House, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 670, Barcelona (Eixample Dreta).

Go Beachclub Barcelona

Go Beach Club, Barcelona.

Go Beach Club

While not technically a rooftop bar, the Go Beach Club deserves a mention. This beach club on four levels (the pool is on the bottom floor) has impressive views over the Mediterranean. They organize pool parties, they do bottle service, and they have a range of different day beds and sofas to choose from. Book your visit here.

Go Beach Club, Carrer Port Esportiu, 14P, 08930 Barcelona (Diagonal Mar/Forum).

Wet+Deck+W+Hotel+Barcelona

W Hotel, Barcelona.

Wet Deck

If you’re looking to party then the Wet Bar at the W Hotel is a perfect option, and as an added bonus you have the Mediterranean right next to you. There’s always something going on, and some interesting DJs are invited here, too.

W Hotel, Plaça Rosa Del Vents 1, Barcelona (Barceloneta).

Purobeach, Barcelona

Purobeach, Barcelona.

Purobeach

This urban oasis is the dream: a rooftop bar where you can actually take a dip in the pool, AND sip on a cocktail on a sun bed. There are resident DJ:s, food (lobster rolls anyone?), and good vibes, perfect for enjoying a day in the sun. Purobeach is located in the Hilton Diagonal Mar hotel, but can be accessed by anyone. You can reserve your sun bed here.

Purobeach, Pg. del Taulat, 262, Barcelona (Poblenou).
