Best Brunch in Barcelona Right Now (April 2026)
Updated April 2026.
This is not my full Barcelona brunch guide: you can find that one here. This is something shorter: the brunch spots in Barcelona I'm going to right now, a mix of reliable classics with something new happening and a couple of spots that have recently won me over.

Superauto
This spot used to be Auto Rosellón, but it has changed its name, been completely renovated, and the menu is so much fun. Chef Ronnie Stern has put real creativity into it: think toasted banana bread with coffee butter, or a crispy croissant with a 6-minute egg, avocado and Parmigiano. The bar seating is very photogenic and a great spot to sit solo.

The Egg Lab
The Egg Lab is consistently one of the best brunch spots in the city, and they've recently added new items to the menu worth trying. Their Sant Antoni location tends to be calmer: less of a queue, more of a slow and calm morning. If you have a sweet tooth, go for Nick's French Toast. Read my review here.
Carrer de Sepúlveda 80 (Sant Antoni), Bruc 33 (Eixample Dreta).

La Papa
Not gonna lie, La Papa’s brand new spot La Papa Arc is a sight for sore eyes. The display of freshly baked pastries is impossible to walk past: the cinnamon rolls especially. I keep coming back for the sourdough waffles with dulce de leche. More details here.
Carrer de Trafalgar 56 (Eixample Dreta).

Caravelle
Caravelle has been around since brunch first arrived in Barcelona, and they have consistely delivered. They are always working on something new (new dishes are landing as we speak) but if you're there now, the ricotta pancake is enormous and excellent. Read my review here.
Caravelle, C/ del Pintor Fortuny, 31, 08001 Barcelona (Raval).

Little Fern Café
Charming Little Fern Café is worth the trip to Poblenou on its own. The new menu has some lovely additions: Turkish eggs with focaccia and honey butter, and a granola bowl with rhubarb that is both beautiful and genuinely good for you. A (vegetarian) neighbourhood gem that just keeps getting better and better. Full review here.
Carrer de Pere IV 168 (Poblenou).

Balzac Café
Balzac Café might be more café than brunch spot, but it earns its place on this list. The space is beautiful, the owner José is obsessed with quality ingredients, and the seasonal drink specials are some of the most interesting in the city: some a little pricier than average, but worth it. There is a short but precise menu with good savoury and sweet options.
Passeig De Sant Joan, 127 (Eixample Dreta).
