New Restaurants - Summer 2024 Edition

It’s here, the Summer 2024 edition of new restaurants in Barcelona! Can you believe more than 100 new places have opened lately?! We have many new wine bars, two restaurants with Greek influences, authentic Japanese ramen, Brazilian flavors, Chinese crepes, an Italian Osteria, a famous vegan spot, the prettiest vegan cafe, an Australian-Catalan brunch (and a secret one!), an Indian canteen, a French boulangerie, lots of ice cream, and a gossip section in the end of this list!

My To-Go List

I find new Gurí interesting: Mediterranean food with an Uruguayan twist. The food looks good and the restaurant cozy. They’re located in Sants, on C/ del Rector Triadó 72. IG: @guribcn (you can find their menu there in the Highlights, go check it out!).

I have my eyes firmly on new Greek restaurant Margarit, and I’ve put it on my To Go-list. Their slogan is Origen, Raíces, Cultura, and that sounds very promising. The dishes are fascinating, and so is their wine list. And the interior is very cool! Many are loving this spot. C/ Margarit 58 (Poble Sec). IG: @margarit.bcn.

The Natural Wine Company has just opened a wine bar called Canvis Nous, and I’ve heard great things! I am looking forward to visiting. They’re located on C/ Canvis Nous 8 (Born). IG: @canvis.nous.

Kobuta Ramen is an authentic Japanese ramen spot run by chef Hiroshi, and has now opened its second location on Gran Via 439 (Eixample Esquerra). Find them on IG: @kobutaramen.

A new wine bar has opened and I have a hunch it is GOOD. It’s called Bar Manifest and it’s located in the Raval (C/ Marquès de Barberà 11) and it’s a spot for music, lots of wine, and great-looking dishes. I am more than excited. IG: @bar.manifest.

Kenji Ueno (Can Kenji, Aiueno, etc.) has opened a new place on C/ Seneca 28 (Gràcia) called Meriken Ko. There are only 9 seats, where the chefs prepare the dishes in front of you. IG: @merikenkobcn.

A new Chinese restaurant on Diputació (168, Eixample Esquerra), has some fascinating things on their menu. Joyoo specializes in crossing-the-bridge noodles: a specialty from the Yunnan region in China. Look it up, it’s really cool! The sweet soups also look really interesting, I’ve put this place on my To Go-list. They have an IG account: @joyoo_bcn.

I struggle finding anything interesting on Travessera de Gràcia, but I think Bar Bocata is here to change it! It seems to be a fun and friendly spot, serving tapas and wine, and run by a young team. Many love their tortilla. IG: @barbocata_.
