Oysters Menorca - a Beautiful Little Seafood Spot

Some nights, or days, call for seafood and champagne. Not a big occasion, not an elaborate tasting menu. Just something that feels a little special. Oysters Menorca is exactly that kind of place.

It’s small, cozy, and beautiful inside, with an elegant but warm feel. Outside, there’s a nice, covered terrace. It’s the kind of setting that works perfectly for a date, or for a little celebration with a friend.

The Oysters Are the Obvious Starting Point

They offer a wide range of oysters from different countries, including France, Ireland, Portugal and Holland. Prices hover between 4 and 6 euros per oyster depending on the variety. And they do happy hour oyster specials!

If you enjoy comparing flavour profiles, this is where it gets interesting. Some are clean and sharply briny. Others are creamier, softer, more rounded. Ordering a mix is a good idea, and it’s fun to compare and pick your favorites.

It’s a Proper Seafood Bar

What I liked most is that it isn’t only about oysters.

You’ll find caviar, including the option to add it to dishes like fried eggs (incredible combo!) or even patatas fritas. There are refined seafood plates too, from tuna tartare to brioche filled with crab or prawn. The caviar they use is sustainable, where the fish aren’t killed in the process. The blini tower is gorgeous, and I also highly recommend the scallops; they’re a treat.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to treat yourself, but it is by no means intimidating, neither when it comes to price or atmosphere. You can keep it simple with a few oysters and a glass of champagne, or build a full seafood dinner around it. On one of my visits a gentleman came in alone, with a book, and ordered a glass of wine and oysters and had a great time all by himself. Life goals, no doubt.

Champagne by the Glass Changes Everything

They serve champagne by the glass, which makes the experience feel accessible. You don’t have to commit to a bottle to enjoy the atmosphere. This little detail truly matters. It turns this into a place you can visit spontaneously, not only for celebrations. And there’s is a solid list of wines to choose from, too.

The Vibe

The service is friendly and genuinely kind. In a small space, that makes a difference, and makes the whole experience even more memorable.

Oysters Menorca feels luxurious but attainable, polished without being formal. A place you book on purpose when you want a seafood-focused evening in Barcelona that still feels relaxed.

It’s an easy yes for a date.
