Five Favorites - Something Sweet

Craving something sweet? I’ve got you! Barcelona has some delicious options for something indulgent, and here are five of my favorites:

Ugot Bruncherie Barcelona

Ugot Bruncherie

The cutest brunch place featuring a vintage interior with mismatched cups and plates. Their cakes are incredible, and every Saturday and Sunday they make a one-of-a-kind cheesecake with fun, seasonal ingredients and themes. I also highly recommend their different French Toasts. Read my review here.

Ugot Bruncherie, C. de Viladomat, 138, 08015 Barcelona (Eixample Esquerra).

Funky Bakers Hotel Brummell Barcelona

Funky Bakers

A pioneer in Barcelona, offering freshly baked pastries inspired by flavors from around the world. Their seasonal specialties, including their danishes, are highly recommendable. My favorite location is inside Hotel Brummell, where they also have their own kitchen (their breakfast is worth trying, too) and you can sit down and work for a while. Read my review here.

Hotel Brummell + Funky Bakers, C/ Nou de la Rambla, 174, Sants-Montjuïc, 08004 Barcelona (Poble Sec).

Maison Coffee Barcelona

Maison Coffee

This cafe offers seriously delicious coffee and tea drinks. The owner’s Asian heritage adds a wonderful and unique touch to the menu, ensuring you’ll find drinks you won’t encounter anywhere else in the city. My favorites are the jasmin cream matcha and the Oolong mousse tea with osmanthus flower. They also have nice, home-made cakes - I’m a fan of the pistachio cheesecake. Read my review here.

Maison Coffee, C/ de Provença, 158, local bajo, 08036 Barcelona (Eixample Esquerra).

Parallelo Gelato Barcelona

Parallelo Gelato

You’ll find great artisan ice-cream spots in Barcelona, and my favorite is Parallelo. They have two locations, one in Gràcia and one in Eixample, serving fun - and above all, delicious - flavors, including plenty of seasonal options. Read my review here.

Parallelo Gelato, Carrer de Sèneca 18, Barcelona (Gràcia) and Carrer d'Ausiàs Marc, 55 - Passeig de Sant Joan, 25 (Eixample Dreta), Barcelona.

Lukumas Barcelona

Lukumas

The fluffiest donuts in the city can be found at Lukumas in Gràcia. Choose between plain donuts with various types of icing or filled ones - both equally delicious. They’re made fresh and some flavors sell out quickly, so go early for the best selection. Read my review here.

Lukumas, Torrent de l'Olla 169, Barcelona (Gràcia).
