Christmas and New Year’s Eve Dinners in Barcelona
The most common question these days is what to do and where to go for Christmas and New Years Eve in Barcelona, and below you can find a range of restaurants and bars that will be celebrating! I keep updating this list until Christmas, so there might be more additions.

This wonderful restaurant (read my review here) is a sister establishment to Besta, and I am a very big fan of both. Batea is focused on seafood, and their NYE menu looks enticing, with spider crab, Galician ceviche, tiger prawn, sea bream, and much more. Batea always has wonderful, seasonal cocktails, and the menu also includes a welcome drink.

This charming wine bar in Gràcia is hosting a great New Year’s Eve party with wine (of course), food, and great vibes. A really good option if you prefer to do something more casual but still festive, and not spend too much. Tim and Andrés, the owners, do a great job at hosting so you know it will be awesome. Lovely Beryti Bistro wants to make sure that nobody is alone for Christmas, so they are organizing a potluck dinner open to everyone! The only thing you need to do is to bring a dish. I think this is an absolutely wonderful initiative. Read my review of Beryti Bistró here.

Superlocal
Would you like to celebrate the new year by the sea? Then head to Superlocal, where they have prepared a special menu for the evening, with all the props (including the 12 grapes!) you need for the celebration, and a DJ adding to the atmosphere. You can see the menu and book your table here.

Casa Costa
The excellent location in Barceloneta isn’t the only thing Casa Costa has going for it this New Year’s Eve. They’re also hosting a cozy and fun dinner featuring a tasting menu, cava (of course), the traditional 12 grapes, music, and more. With only 50 seats available, be quick!

Mog serves up incredible Goan-inspired food, and what can be better to bring in the new year than something incredibly flavorful? Their plan is a fun and casual NYE with the best of their tapas, great wines (I love their wine selection), a DJ from 10:30h onwards, and of course 12 grapes at midnight. I’m a big fan of Bar El Pepino, and I love their proposal for NYE: a tasting menu “sharing style”. The menu is mouthwatering with oysters with horseradish leche de tigre, scallops, vitello tonnato, pappardelle, coquelet…

Beautiful Casa Rafols (it used to be a hardware store!) usually organizes a NYE dinner and party, but they haven’t shared any information so far. I will update this space if they do.

The most beautiful and cozy space, spectacular food, AND great wines? That’s what Mina has in store for you for New Year’s Eve. Their dinner menu looks delicious with oysters, langoustine in sage, amberjack crude with bottarga, quail tortellini, stuffed lamb rack, panettone of course with zabaione, and more. Público (read my review here) will be organising a New Years Eve event, and it looks wonderful. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and it’s very centrally located. Perfect for a special night out! You can see the menu and book here.

Sandwich Club Poblenou
Ready for some fun? Sandwich Club Poblenou has teamed up with Fast Eddie’s for a New Year’s Eve party with an exciting menu (think chicken nuggets with caviar, oysters Rockefeller, deviled eggs, a dessert cart (!) and a whole lot more. There’s also 12 grapes, and an after-dinner party with DJs.

Guzzo
Vibey Guzzo offers live music on the daily, and on New Years Eve they’ve prepared a party like no other. They have a special menu for the evening, live music and a DJ set during dinner, and from 12:30AM onwards there will be DJs playing until late.

Beautiful Søm has a special menu for December 26th (Sant Esteve) at lunch, with two sittings: from 13h to 15h and from 15h to 17h. The menu has classics such as Escudella, Canelons, but also scallops, monkfish…. A lovely Boxing Day option!

Enoteca Paco Perez
This stunning two-Michelin star restaurant inside Hotel Arts has a very special Christmas menu (available from the 23rd to the 30th), for a price of 275€, add 160€ for pairings if you like. For New Year’s Eve they have prepared a very special menu, worth 595€ (includes a pairing). Make sure to request a table by the window for NYE: it’s right by the beach so you might get lucky and see some fireworks!
Hotel Arts is organising a very special evening called Reverie for New Years Eve, in a newly renovated Salón Gaudí. Expect the unexpected for this special evening! The price is 475€, with show-cooking stations, wine pairings, a free bar and a show. On January 1st they offer a special New Years Brunch.
Casa Xica
There’s a delicious menu prepared for guests for NYE at Casa Rica, staying true to their Asian flavors. A cozy option to celebrate the New Year!

La Dama
Stunning and somewhat secret La Dama is open for Christmas Eve (a la carte) and for lunch on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (special Christmas menus, including vegetarian and vegan ones! Menus are 90€). La Dama is beautiful and a great option for a special evening.

Little Andaman
Charming Little Andaman (read my review here) won Joc de Cartes Best Asian restaurant edition, and they are also organizing a New Year’s Eve event. The space is gorgeous, the cocktails are amazing, and the food is delicious, so this experience won’t be disappointing. There will be grapes at midnight, a glass of cava, DJ, and more (you can also do just dinner if you wish). They are also open for Christmas Eve (closed the 25th, and open again on the 26th). You can book here.
Price: 60€ for dinner only (20-22h), and 80€ for the whole function.
Mr Porter
Award-winning steak house Mr Porter offers a top-notch Christmas menu called Christmas Festive Roast available on the 25th. For New Year’s Eve there is a gala dinner with a pretty amazing-sounding menu, and an afterparty, A Night With the Fox, that takes place in the restaurant basement.
Price: NYE: 295€ and includes dinner, 12 lucky grapes for midnight, party gimmicks, a bottle of champagne for 2, and access to the afterparty.

Albarada and 1925 Vermutería
Newly renovated hotel METT (used to be La Florida, is now under new ownership) offers special menus for Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Eve. For NYE this might be an interesting option, considering the beautiful views from Tibidabo where the hotel is located. After dinner there will be a party in El Club.
Price: 24th and 25th: 130€, 26th: 75€, NYE: 295€. All prices are per person, and include drinks.
El Velódromo
This cozy restaurant offer special menus for the 24th, 25th, and 26th, and also a special New Year’s Eve menu, with local classics and specials for the season. More details and to book here.

Borneta
Borneta, a charming hotel in the Born, has planned something very special for New Year’s Eve together with their restaurant Volta and their beautiful rooftop. Their Glam Cabaret dinner proposal consists of contemporary Italian gastronomy with craft cocktails and live performances, and afterwards a Glam Cabaret afterparty. On the rooftop there’s a party with beautiful views over Born and Ciutadella. There are DJs, a drag performance, and a whole lot more. Their proposal sounds really lovely! Arume
You’ll find Arume in the eclectic Raval neighborhood: a charming and cozy establishment that is perfect for a celebration with your partner. Arume offers Galician specialties, and they are open 24th (at night), 25th, and 26th for both lunch and dinner, 31st for lunch and dinner, with a celebration when the clock strikes midnight. They don’t have a special menu, you can order from the a la carte.

Maná 75
In the Barceloneta neighborhood you can find Maná 75: a restaurant specialized in paella, with an open kitchen and a long line of paellas getting prepared for hungry patrons. The space is very nice for going with a small group of friends or with family: they have cozy round tables that makes you forget about anyone else. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is fun and festive. They are open every day, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. You can read my review of Maná 75 here.

Hotel Pulitzer
The restaurant at Hotel Pulitzer, The Greenhouse, serves special menus on the 25th and 26th with two different menus, and on New Year’s Eve there are two different options: a meal on the terrace and an afterparty until 02AM, or a meal in the Greenhouse and a post-dinner party with unlimited drinks.
Price: Christmas Day: 55€ including pairings, 55€ including pairings.
The Barcelona Edition Hotel
As always, The Barcelona Edition Hotel is organizing lavish dinners for both Christmas and New Year’s Eve. For Christmas dinner the 24th and lunch on the 25th there’s a menu with local specialties, and another one for the 26th. On New Years Eve, they have three options; in Cabaret, Veraz and the rooftop (see all options here).

One of my favorite restaurants in Barcelona, Besta (read my review here), will be hosting a stunning New Year’s Eve dinner with all the best things the Mediterranean and the Atlantic has to offer. The dishes include king scallop, Galician seaweed pannacotta, razor clams, prawns, hake, sole, truffle, and much more.
Price: 150€.

Le Méridien - CentOnze
Hotels are always a safe bet for Christmas and New Years, as you can be sure they are open for these dates. At CentOnze, inside the Le Méridien hotel, they’re sourcing the ingredients from La Boquería market (only 111 steps away from the hotel!) and they offer their twist on local, seasonal specialties. They have a special menu for Christmas Eve, another one for Christmas lunch, one for San Esteban (Boxing Day), a New Year’s Eve dinner. They also have special kids’ menus for the festivities, and a vegetarian option.
Nobu
Ringing in the New Year at fancy Nobu sounds like quite the plan! They offer a tasting menu with Nobu classics with festive twists, and they have both a vegan and a children’s menu available (also gluten free and dairy free menus). The party continues after dinner with craft cocktails, live music, and a DJ. The rooftop will be open (weather permitted) and from there you get the most impressive views both of the city and the fireworks. Make sure to book a room well in advance if you would like to stay the night.
Price: 445€ per person (includes a bottle of champagne for two).

Fishology
This lovely restaurant has a very unique concept, all inspired by the sea, using a range of techniques, including ancient ones. It’s truly amazing. Their Christmas and NYE menus are packed with interesting dishes, just as expected. Fishology holds a Michelin star. Read my review here.

Santa Gula
This incredibly charming little restaurant is the perfect choice for a cozy Christmas or New Year’s Eve celebration. Book quickly, there are few seats and it’s a coveted spot! Read my review here.
Casa Bonay
Casa Bonay always throws a big party for NYE, with dinner and an afterparty. The dinner this year includes tasty appetisers (oysters, smoked salmon gilda…), tuna crudo, the famous artichoke tatin from Bodega Bonay but with a twist, spring chicken canelón with black truffle… The after party takes place in Libertine with a DJ (you can choose to only go for this and forego the dinner if you wish).
Price: 180€ (includes water, beer, cava), afterparty 40€.
