Are you ready for the cold? Nope, me neither. But I have made a list of many, many places in Barcelona where we can keep warm this winter. We can get through this!

RAMEN

What would winter be without a good ramen? Nothing I say. There are a so many ramen places to choose from, check out for example Ramen-Ya Ajisen (they have a new location in Putxet!), Grasshopper Ramen, Ramen-Ya HIRO (worth the hour-long wait), Tonkotsu, Ramen Shop, Mutenroshi Ramen, Takumi Ramen, Oishii Ramen, Madame Ramen… Plenty of places to choose from!

HOT CHOCOLATE AND/OR CHURROS

Yes, yes, YES. Can’t have a winter without hot chocolate and some churros, don’t ya think? Some places even have a queue with churraholics before they open. Granja M Viader is a classic, if you’re craving something savoury don’t miss their bikini, it’s simple but unforgettable. I am also a fan of Granja La Pallaresa, it opened already 1947 and they for sure know what they are doing. Very close by is Granja Dulcinea, with their elegantly dressed staff and wonderful, thick chocolate.

COCKTAILS

There are too many cocktail bars to count in Barcelona. I am a big fan of Les Gens Que J’Aime, a very atmospheric bar with jazz playing in the background, vintage furniture, a lady doing tarot… Bloody Mary Cocktail Lounge is also another favourite for winter nights: get cosy with a choice of 10 different Bloody Mary’s and many, many more beautiful and delightful drinks.

PORRIDGE

Can’t beat a warm porridge in winter! In recently opened Bohl they have four (!) of them to choose from. I love both the chocolate and the apple pie ones. Read more about Bohl here. Maai also serves a good porridge, and WiFi too if you want to work while you eat your breakfast. EatMyTrip has a good one, and they have a warm chia pudding with fruit too, doesn’t that sound intriguing? Read my review here. Hammock Juice Station that has a porridge that will fill you up for hours, read all about it here. Lulu & Flyn also is a good place for a porridge, as is Green & Berry.

COSY RESTAURANTS

Winter and romance go hand in hand, so check out my list of romantic restaurants to visit, including Venetian Xemei, and candle-lit cheese paradise Can Recasens.

The only thing missing in Barcelona is a few places with an open fire, don’t you think..?
